Customer needs

Our client approached us with a clear vision for their beloved Porsche 911 Targa 3.2: a comprehensive technical rejuvenation coupled with a subtle optical refresh, transforming it into a reliable daily driver. With nearly 300,000 kilometers on the odometer, the vehicle required a ground-up technical overhaul. Specific concerns included rust in the sill areas, a Targa roof and interior that had seen better days, and a budget set between €40,000 and €50,000 for the restoration and revision.

Our proposal

Our tailored proposal addressed each of the client's needs with precision and expertise. We outlined a complete overhaul of the engine, transmission, and suspension, ensuring peak mechanical performance. All rubber seals were slated for replacement, and the Targa roof would receive a much-needed renewal. The braking system would be entirely replaced, and new oil lines, along with numerous other critical details, would be meticulously implemented. For the interior, the driver's seat would be expertly refurbished, receiving a new leather bolster and a custom Porsche fabric of the client's choice, with the door pockets also being repaired. Structural integrity would be restored by welding and sanitizing the side sills, followed by a

“Mike Sanders” sealing for the cavities. The iconic Fuchs wheels would be refurbished and fitted with new tires. Finally, a modern KW suspension system would be integrated, subtly enhancing driving dynamics while crucially retaining the vehicle’s H-registration, preserving its classic status.

Conclusion

This project exemplifies how a classic can seamlessly integrate into modern daily life. The exterior, with its charming patina, remains a testament to its history, a true daily driver where minor imperfections only add character, yet it performs flawlessly and reliably. Internally, the essence of an ‘everyday classic’ is preserved. Technically, however, the car is virtually new, subtly modernized to serve as a dependable daily driver without compromising its vintage soul.
